Cesar Romero
Cesar Romero, acclaimed for his memorable portrayal of the Joker in the 1966 Batman TV series, left an indelible mark in Hollywood. Besides acting, he showcased his talent as a singer and enjoyed a career spanning nearly sixty years. Romero was notably reserved about his personal life, often referring to himself merely as a “confirmed bachelor” during his years in the limelight.
It was only two years after his passing that a journalist shared interviews in which Romero candidly confirmed his sexuality and provided a glimpse into the experience of being gay in the Hollywood of his era. This enlightening conversation was featured in a book called “Hollywood Gays.”
