Amazon founder Jeff Bezos was married to author and philanthropist MacKenzie Scott for 25 years before they called it quits in 2019. The two got married in 1993 after they met at a hedge fund in New York. It was MacKenzie who would become his first employee at Amazon. She helped grow the company to the international juggernaut it is today.

Since both are quite rich on their own, the separation proceedings were long and tedious since the division of their assets and investments was quite a serious matter. Fortunately, their marriage was finally null in the eyes of the law, with Scott marrying a science teacher last year. Bezos has nothing but love and support for his former wife’s new life since they are still co-parenting their four children. Scott is still continuing her philanthropy work with the support of her new husband.
