George Lucas and Mellody Hobson have been married since 2013. The Star Wars director first met the DreamWorks animation chair in a business conference in Aspen in 2006 and they had hit it off right from the start. Their wedding was a star-studded affair to be sure since it was held in one of Lucas’ investments, Skywalker ranch. Lucas later sold Lucasfilm to Disney, where he earned $4.1 billion. Most of the profits were donated to educational philanthropy.

What makes their marriage work? Hobson stated that they entered their marriage with open minds and without any preconceived ideas about what their partnership should be. Romance was very much in the air since the two are very much together. Hobson is now the board chair of Starbucks, while her husband is busy doing philanthropy work. They are quite the pair. With their current net worth, they are set for life.
