Mika leads me to the mirror, and we walk through the glass into another world. The place in the mirror doesn’t seem notably different from the world outside. It’s just that everything is a mirror image of the real world.
We walk down along the stairs of the world in the mirror and see the students eating breakfast.
Oh my god, I almost throw up. What are they eating? They are eating raw meat, and the cups are full of blood.
“A worker fell to his death on this land during the construction of the zoo. The owners of the zoo secretly buried the man’s body to evade compensation. Because of the special location of the valley, the hotel has become a bridge connecting earth and hell.” Mika explains as he walks.
As we walk down the mirrored hallway, I realize that a downward staircase has replaced the wine rack from the real world. Mika and I head down the stairs to the basement of the hotel.
I cover my mouth in surprise. The basement floor of the hotel used to be a parking lot, but the mirror shows a world of endless yellow sand and a river of blood. There is a bridge over the river, and on the bridge, a line of people is crossing the river.
At a glance, I see Judy in the crowd, as well as the guests who had coffee in the hotel lobby that I saw yesterday afternoon.
“You and Judy need to run back the way we came and get out of the mirror,” Mika instructs as he rushed to the bridge.
The moment Mika walks onto the bridge, the blood river begins to boil. Thousands of bats fly out of the river. These critters surround Mika from every direction.
“Run!” Mika shouts. I see him fighting to the death with a sword, but his clothes are torn open by the bats, and he is bleeding.
I drag Judy back the way I come. As soon as Judy comes out of the world in the mirror, she faints.
When I try to get back into the looking-glass, the whole world begins to shake violently, and cracks start to appear around me.
No, don’t do that. I run frantically under the mirror.
The mirror falls out of the air and breaks into pieces.
I sit on the ground, trying to piece the broken mirror together. Mika is still in the mirror. How is he going to get out after the mirror breaks?
