Carola didn’t know what it was that made her want to comfort her. But the words coming out of Ella’s mouth shattered her own heart. Carola lived in oblivion. She had her parents and a family, and everything was perfect for her, and here she was – Ella, so alone, so broken.
‘Don’t worry. I will be your friend from today.’ Carola resolved to be her friend. To help and heal the girl in any way possible.
Ella only smiled at her, a smile that reached her eyes as if Carola had just given her something huge.
Carola couldn’t understand the reason why her memories were playing such tricks on her. Somehow the flashback to how it had started had been the wakeup she needed.
She walked through the wall of students who were all gaping at her, with an air of superiority and heart colder than ever before.
Ella deserved everything that was happening to her and all that would happen to her. Carola went to her first class with the thought.
