JOHNNY DEPP AND ARTHUR SCHOPENHAUER
“It is difficult to find happiness within oneself, but it is impossible to find it anywhere else.” ― Arthur Schopenhauer
Starting off this list are Johnny Depp and Arthur Schopenhauer. In his time, Schopenhauer was a philosopher, well-known for his book, The World as Will and Representation, which he made in 1818. Furthermore, his works have been described as the best example of philosophical pessimism. After Arthur’s passing in 1860, his principles regarding aesthetics, morality, and psychology became a source of influence for artists and thinkers studying his works.
Meanwhile, Johnny Depp is a very well-known actor, especially for his acting credits in films like Edward Scissorhands, the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, and Sweeney Todd. Outside of acting, Depp also has formed a rock band with Alice Cooper, and Joe Perry called Hollywood Vampires. Even though Depp and Schopenhauer were born two generations apart, the iconic actor and influential philosopher somehow share the same looks.
